Plan Your Visit @ Carefree Church
Visiting a new church can be pretty intimidating! We know because we have all been there. We have designed this page to help you prepare for your first visit, so you will know what to expect.
What to Expect
On a typical Sunday morning at Carefree Church you’ll find many different kinds of people on different parts of their faith journey. Chances are, there will be others who are new just like you. Whether you are just checking church out, new to church and faith, or a longtime Jesus-follower, you are welcome.
Here are some common questions people have asked when considering a visit:

When and where are the services?
Service Times and Location
Our church campus is located at 5025 E. Carefree Hwy. Cave Creek, AZ 85331
We offer 2 identical services on the weekend
- 8:30 am Sunday
- 10:15 am Sunday
Parking
When you enter the church parking lot, someone from our Dream Team will be directing traffic. We have special spots reserved for our first-time guests. If you will put your flashers on when you enter the parking lot, the parking team will direct you to our reserved VIP parking for first-time guests.
VIP/Connection Station
If you have any questions, please stop by the VIP/Connection Station in the main lobby. The VIP Station is staffed by Dream Team members in Carefree shirts, ready to help answer any questions you might have. Also, make sure to stop by the VIP/Connection Station after service as guests will receive a gift.
Entering the Building
From the first-time guest parking, you’ll see a big red sign directing you to the main auditorium for the worship service or the building where you can drop off your children for CAREFREE KIDS.
What About My Kids
Where do my kids go?
We have signs everywhere! Just look for CAREFREE KIDS signs. They will lead you to the Carefree Kids lobby where our children’s team will register your children for the program. This will take a few minutes, so be sure to get there a few minutes early. Or, better yet, you can pre-register your children online [link to registration page] and save a few minutes on your first Sunday.
Why do I have to register my kids?
We take the safety and security of your children seriously. All of our ministry volunteers have been screened and background checked for safety. By checking your child in and out of our CAREFREE KIDS environment, you can experience the adult worship service worry-free.
Can’t I just take my kids into the service with me?
At Carefree Church our children’s ministry is much more than “childcare”. We intentionally structure our children’s ministry to help children get to know God and learn the Bible and how it relates to Jesus in an age-appropriate way. The lessons are fun and approachable and taught by committed volunteers and staff who serve Jesus by serving you and your kids. Trust us. Your kids will enjoy CAREFREE KIDS far more than grown-up church. And they will learn a lot more too!
If you would like to keep your infant with you, we ask that you use the Mother’s Room located in the north end of the main lobby. Ladies and nursing mothers can comfortably be a part of the service through a large viewing window.
Our children’s ministry has age-appropriate environments as follows:
- Birth – 24 months
- Age 2-3 years
- Pre-K – Kindergarten
- 1st – 4th Grade
- 5th and 6th Grade
Should you ever have any questions, any member of our staff or any of our volunteers will be happy to help you! Also, if you have any questions about CAREFREE KIDS before attending a service, please contact our Carefree Kids Pastor [link] for answers to those questions.
What’s a Service Like?
Our services typically last about 75 minutes.
The service will begin with about 15 minutes of music led by a live band. The words of the songs will be projected onto large screens. Many people will sing along and you can too. Participate as you feel comfortable. We use music as a way of expressing our love for God and appreciation for what He has done for us.
One of our pastors will teach a lesson from the Bible. Our goal is to help everyone understand the Bible and to apply it to their lives. The teaching will be practical and challenging. And hopefully will inspire you in your pursuit of God.
On some occasions we may have baptisms during the service. Other times we celebrate communion together . At every service we will have a host who will explain what is happening during the service so that there are no surprises for you. We will always make sure you know what to do and won’t leave you guessing.
Each Sunday we take an offering of financial gifts. This offering is for those who call Carefree Church their home church. As our guest, you are not expected to give any money, that decision is totally up to you. We have been blessed with many opportunities to serve the needs of our community and through the generosity of our church members, we can meet those needs. You are welcome to join in God’s work at Carefree Church as you feel you are ready.
One of the things that our church is known for is the wonderful teaching from our pastor. He has an exceptional gift of taking what seem like complicated topics in the Bible and explaining them in ways that we can all understand. You can follow the link below to browse our sermon library and see for yourself.
Our ultimate goal is for everyone at Carefree Church to feel comfortable and confident in their ability to read and understand the Bible. If you don’t own a Bible we would love to give you one. Please stop by the VIP tent and ask. You can also download a Bible app [link to YouVersion] to your phone for easy access. Yes, that’s why all the people sitting around you have their phones out during the service. They’re not texting! Well, most of them aren’t!
About our Music
Carefree Church services start with contemporary Christian music featuring a band with guitars, drums, keyboards. Our gifted musicians and singers give spiritually moving performance. It’s all for one purpose—not to experience a band, but to experience God through our times of singing.
